Have you cast your vote in the Trollbeads People's Bead 2010 Competition?

Published 26/08/2010

Wow, Denmark received over 6,000 entries for this year's People's Bead competition. We're delighted that it has captured your imaginations and, oh what fantastic imaginings. We certainly didn't envy the task of drawing up the list of finalists from such a vast selection of wonderful entries.

As the UK & Ireland Trollbeads distributor, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone in our region who took part, and a massive congratulations to the 15 British entrants who made it into the top 100 - particularly the two who are in the top 10 and have a chance of becoming this year's winning bead!

Two British contenders to win this year

There are two designs from British Trollbeads fans in the top 10 - from which the public vote will select the winner. The winning bead will join the Trollbeads permanent collection as a silver Trollbead at Christmas. To cast your vote, you need to join the Trollbeads Universe fan club, which is run by Trollbeads in Denmark. You have until Sunday 29th August to cast your vote. We would be very proud indeed if the winner was one of our own customers…

Victoria's Trollbead Design

Victoria's Entry

Five A Day by Victoria Simms: Victoria's bead symbolises good health and acts as a reminder to eat our five helpings of fruit and veg per day. The Trollbeads judges selected it as a bead that you might like to buy as a gift for a friend who is unwell to say ‘get well soon'.

Stephanie's Trollbead Design

Stephanie's Entry

Love is Blind by Stephanie Prior: Stephanie's bead reminds us that jewellery is tactile as well as visual and uses braille to spell out the phrase ‘Love is Blind'. The Trollbeads judges commented on its universal appeal and love its multi-sensory design.

A huge congratulations also goes to these British designers who made it into the top 100: Lisa Hodgkinson, Louise Tomlinson, Shirley Cottam, Jacqui Bull, Nan Louise, Pauline Camm, Susan Davies, Sammie Williams, Lea Legrain, Jacqui Heafford, Laura Gayne, Susannah Way, and Cathryn Cook.
